Winter season on the beautiful island of Ibiza is no longer a local’s secret as it’s becoming more and more popular as an out of season destination. Easy to jump on a flight for a weekend from London, Milan or Barcelona, people come to discover its mild temperatures and magical beaches. Whether you live on the island or are coming to visit this Mediterranean treasure, you’ll be amazingly surprised.

Here we encourage you to feast your eyes on some of the best restaurants in Ibiza that are open all year around, from local tapas to tasty newcomers creating bold new dishes for the foodies wanting to sample some winter delights.

Everyone knows that gastronomy in Ibiza is another attraction of its popularity as this tiny island welcomes an extraordinary variety of local delicatessens while also incorporating foreign ingredients that are all supported by a culture of sustenance. We’ve pulled together our suggestions to find a restaurant any time of the year.

Located on the front line of the sea, Sa Escollera is a little known treasure where you drink dine and be merry all with perfect views. We advise that you book in advance as they are well renowned for serving the best paella and better still you are just a few steps to the white sand of Es Cavallet Beach. Offering a seasonal menu, Sa Escollera’s food is labelled as ´Mediterranean fusion’ as you’ll find other cuisine such as their speciality sushi also on the menu. They have a terraced area where sometimes you can find live music, laughter and obviously with the Ibicencan sun is always present.

Hystorically, Can N’Alfredo lives up to its name thanks to its  reputation after almost 40 years of serving Ibicencan cuisine. The venue is located in the famous Vara de Rey centre of Ibiza town and has hosted many big names that could be listed from nowadays  to back in the 70’s. Founded in 1934, Ca N’Alfredo is well-known for staying loyal to its traditional Ibicencan cuisine. That’s the reason why the Mixed Fish and Seafood grill or Grouper and Anglerfish stew with “Pedro Ximenez” are really popular. A few steps from the Ibiza port, Ca N’alfredo also offers a unique range of flavours as well as a list of classic champagnes and wines.
