Iconic places to visit in Ibiza

Back to Blog

Ibiza’s reputation precedes it. Every guide to the world’s most iconic party places includes our special island and if there’s a list that doesn’t then it might not be a list you can trust! The white isle’s healing side is steadily gaining more worldwide recognition too (you can read more about what makes Ibiza magical here).

Small though the island may be, there’s plenty to see and not always enough time. With dancing plans and wholesome vibes both in mind, we’ve put together some of the most iconic places to visit in Ibiza.

Time & Space

Fondly known as Ibiza’s own ‘Stonehenge’, Time & Space Ibiza is a structure made up of thirteen solid columns—brought to Ibiza by Australian Andrews who was commissioned by Cirque du Soleil Co-Founder Guy Laliberté. The stones are arranged in a way that represents the solar system and the tallest column is highlighted in 23-carat gold to represent the sun.

There’s a special ‘energy’ here which is why many choose this location to host sunset rituals and meditations.

The Wi-gg-ly Woo

We can’t say too much about our clandestine experiences behind the mirrored wardrobe doors in Wi-Ki-Woo Hotel’s lobby, but oh if the walls could talk…

Combining the secrecy of a speakeasy with the allure of an intimate after-party, this space is small in size but big in impact!

Did you know you can book the suite, complete with a fully functioning bar, private waiter service and security, DJ decks and karaoke, plus a soundproof, luxury boudoir for an overnight stay?

Prices start from just €85pp—email hello@wikiwoohotelibiza.com to enquire.

Near the North of the island, Benirrás beach is one of those places that captures the bohemian spirit of Ibiza, particularly on Sunday evenings when free-spirited locals beat drums as the sun sets and everyone’s invited to dance. The adjacent islet Es Cap Bernat (known to islanders as ‘the finger of God’) feels iconic too, adding extra magic to the horizon.

Ses Salines

Ses Salines, a natural park and nature’s very own salt production factory, really is quite something. During the salt evaporation process the salt flats change colours, from emerald and pink to purple and turquoise, and it’s nothing short of enchanting. For our Director of Brand & Events, Ses Salines is most iconic when the flamingos are in Ibiza:
“It never fails to wow me when I see them… It’s like a little gift!”

Sluiz

Favoured by one of the O Beach Ibiza founders, Sluiz isn’t just any shop. This concept store is jam-packed with eclectic clothing, homewares, accessories and everything in-between. There are brightly-coloured cow figures amongst the trees, the changing rooms have quirky signs and the mannequins are dressed to the nines. You could while away hours here, especially as there’s a bar on-site too.

La Calle de La Virgen

This buzzy street in Ibiza’s Dalt Villa is iconic to many from the LGBTQ+ community. The island has always been a place of acceptance and self-discovery and La Calle de La Virgen is particularly popular for celebrating that energy. Drag queens and go-go boys are aplenty, and the street’s lively bars and boutiques set the mood pre and post-party.

O Beach Ibiza Pool Party Cowgirl

Pool Party Fridays at O Beach Ibiza

We didn’t invent the pool party, we just perfected it. Everyday at O Beach Ibiza guarantees you a good time, but our in-house Pool Party event hosted every Friday is iconic because we take our production just a little bit further with whimsical characters and immersive shows. We draw a lot of inspiration from iconic moments in history, fashion and film, from Rihanna’s Jaws-style photoshoot on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar US in February ‘15 to iconic London culture (including Freddie Mercury, Mary Poppins, double decker buses to name a few).

Chi Kee Wun Ibiza

Chi Kee Wun Ibiza is the spellbindingly-good Chinese fusion dining experience, just down the road from us and set in a feng-shui inspired garden setting. Its iconic red Cherry blossom tree makes a FOMO-inducing backdrop for your photos.

Bar Costa in Santa Gertrudis

This modest sandwich bar in the middle of Santa Gertrudis is a longstanding favourite amongst those in the know. Don’t be fooled by its unassuming exterior—the atmosphere is quite the vibe and locals say the grilled cheese toasties here are the best on the island.

Flower Power at Pacha

Grab your wig and hippie shades and meet your friends on the dance floor at Flower Power. You’ll be singing along to the greatest hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s

Annie’s

Open until late on one of Dalt Villa’s lively, cobbled streets, Annie’s Ibiza is where the gliteratti gets their party outfits, including Cara Delevigne, Kate Moss and Paris Hilton. Expect frou frou dresses, romantic details and some cutting-edge pieces. There’s an Annie’s store on Caranaby Street in London but the Ibiza boutique is the OG.

Chezz Gerdi, Formentera

More often recognised by picture than by name, Chezz Gerdi is the crowd-pleasing restaurant in Formentera with the iconic red camper van outside. Grab some pizza and cocktails and watch the sunset here.

Natural Pau

This one made the list as it’s so iconic to O Beach Ibiza staff! Many a memorable night has been had over a shawarma or pizza and many a coffee or healthy juice has fuelled office teams just up and across the road.

Epic sunset in Es Vedra, Ibiza

Es Vedra

How could we miss it out? Some say the magical rock is the gateway to the lost city and civilisation of Atlantis and others cite its significance to extraterrestrial life. Legends claim it’s home to the sirens from Greek mythology while an upcoming Ibizan film spotlights a giant who lives by the islet and loves octopuses. Locals might tell you it’s home to Tanit, the goddess of Ibiza.

An emblem for the island and probably the most photographed landmark in Ibiza, Es Vedra means many things to many. Quite simply, it’s a thing of great beauty. There are quite a few viewpoints, from the hidden coves of Atlantis to Torre Des Savinar (the highest point) so take your pick. Let us recommend the restaurant Es Boldado at Cala d’hort Beach, where you can also try an iconic dish: Bullit de peix. It’s a fish stew and a hallmark of Ibiza gastronomy. For our vegetarian friends, keep things boho with a picnic or try Cone Club at 7Pines.
