CHIDas Bar + Cantina

Choose CHIDas for street food vibes and bedtime stories from around the world. Open from 1pm – 1am, it’s full of character and authentic cocktails. You could easily head to this joint alone; the bartenders are super friendly and the right amount of mezcal will unlock deep and meaningful conversations with the wicker cactus plant.
Expect your mojitos to be made as they should be – just like in Cuba baby!

Tropical Pingüin

Tropical Pingüin is tucked away in San Antonio’s West End. The vibe’s lowkey but the ambience is upbeat and the cocktails pack a punch. Head here for an impromptu evening well spent, whether you’re with friends, a date or your Grandma. Bathrooms are extra AF, lighting’s neon noir and if the board games don’t entertain you until 3am, the pornstar martinis will.

Paradise Lost

For good cocktails and good conversation guaranteed, Paradise Lost is an island favourite where drinks flow until late and ‘more is more’. It’s as though the Christmas decor every year didn’t get taken down, but continues to be topped up, kitsch cocktail umbrellas pop up on every other drink and the dress code can be as outlandish as you’d like – you’ll fit right in no matter what.

Shake It

This bar is here to prove that the art of mixology is very much alive, which a shake-off taking places every few minutes. You ask and they’ll create – the more random the better. Drinks are made with flames, flair and more, and served in glasses and mugs of sorts. Extra points awarded for the bar’s efforts to contribute towards helping the planet.
