You have it all figured it out in your head. You will train hard, eat clean and you will turn heads on the beaches of Ibiza with your great body… You can do this, but avoid these 7 things and you will make it.
- Don’t start too late
You know when the Ibiza holiday season will start months ahead, so start on time… Summer bodies are truly made in winter, there is no quick fix. Get moving now.
- Don’t starve yourself
When you train 3 times a week your body needs nutrients. Don’t diet, cleanse or juice until you drop. Once or twice a year is more than enough. Eat healthy and balanced and you are well on your way.
- Don’t do the same training routine over and over again
Your body is a clever design of nature. It adapts to resistance quickly, so mix things up! How…? Change the intensity, volume and recovery period. Work in programs from 4 to 8 weeks and change the program after that.
- Stay away from 2kg pink dumbells!
Lift heavy, period! When you want your body to change, this is what you do. I can hear you think ladies, ‘But I don’t want to look like a bodybuilder’. You will not. A long as you don’t belong to the 1% of the girls who have too much male testosterone you are fine.
- Fail to stick to the program
Friends, I urge you stick to it. Don’t stop after 2 sessions and say that the program does not work. Read point 3 again.
- Stay away from machines!
Don’t sit in the abductor machine and expect to get killer legs like Beyonce! Use compound lifts like squats and dead lifts, get instructions for your safety. Use free weights and let your whole body work as one. You are not just a collection of body parts.
- Don’t do it all by yourself
Get yourself a coach! Trust me, it is worth every penny… You will get motivated, and you will get the results you seek.
